Pompey the Great. 45-44 B.C. AE as (31.1 mm, 11.60 g, 9 h). Spanish or Sicilian mint. Eppius, legate. MAGN / PIVS·IMP·F, laureate head of Janus with the features of Cn. Pompeius Magnus, altar between heads / EPPIVS / LEG, prow of galley right. Crawford 478/1a; Sydenham 1045; RPC 487. Fine, brown and green patina. Very Rare.
